Victor Joseph Zell, 80, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on January 13, 2026. Joe was born in Albany, New York, on August, 14, 1945, to Francis and Ruth Zell. He was a people person who loved his chosen profession of professional photographer. He had a knack for making people feel at ease and bringing out the best in their photos whether posed or candid. When he retired to Florida, he became an enthusiastic volunteer usher at Florida Studio Theater for many years.  

Joe is survived by his sister, Barbara Ann Zell, of Albany, NY; his two sons and their families; Justin and his wife, Kasey, with their daughter, Florie of Pittsburgh, PA; Brandon and his wife, Kristina, with their children Brody and Madi of Alamo, CA; his two nephews and their families; Brian and his wife, Linda, with their daughter, Brianna of Slingerlands, NY; Matthew and his wife, Valerie, with their children Morgan, Matthew Jr., and Fallon of oDelmar, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth L. And Francis G. Zell; his sister Ruth; his brother Frank; and his amazing wife of 51 years, Virginia Bourbon Zell in 2024.
